October's Gathering [2020]

Padding into the gathering area with his clanmates in tow, Lightningstar made his way to the top of Great Rock with a couple agile leaps. Sitting down, he wrapped his fluffy tail neatly over his large white paws and watched as cats began gathering bellow. The rogues had seemingly disappeared altogether which was an odd occurrence, but he wasn't complaining. Of course, even with them "gone," that didn't mean he was going to let his guard down even the slightest.

Oakleap padded into the gathering following behind her leader. Ever since she had a formed a small friendship with Blazepaw, the she-cat looked happier. Happier then she'd ever been after losing most of her loved ones. I have a feeling that this won't be so bad a gathering.

OOC: Oakleap is open to talk to!

(OOC: Sootheart is talking to Oakleap, and Stormpaw is open to talk to (although focused on Sootheart at the moment).)

Stormpaw followed his mother into the clearing. There were already a number of cats there. A black she-cat with white paws came up to the ThunderClan cats, and from her scent he knew she was from ShadowClan. "Nice to meet you," The she-cat politely nodded to Oakleap, "I'm Sootheart, from ShadowClan."

A light huff escaped her maw as she made her familiar trip to the Great Rock, paws crunching the brown leaves that had cascaded from the trees, noticing she would be the first deputy to arrive. This is definitely a first, Heronfeather thought with an amused twitch of her whiskers - ThunderClan's deputy Cloudbreeze was normally right on time, and she found herself briefly excited. Stars, this is really what my life has come to. Being excited to beat the other deputies, now she just sighed and continued her walk over, taking a seat and grooming her tail as she waited for the gathering to begin.

Disgust was evident on the young toms face as he strolled into the clearing, splitting away from his mentor on the walk over and padding alone for the most part. Honestly, he hadn't wanted to go at all, to pretend to be best friends with the other clans while they plotted the best way to steal prey in Leafbare. That and he was embarrassed; ShadowClan had gone through two leaders in an incredibly short period of time, making them look weak. Even worse was the pacifist Hawktalon- Hawkstar- reigned over his clan now. Wolfpaw would have sooner bowed to Firestar than to the out-of-his-depth deputy, and that was saying something. Despite this he had come, if only to boast about how incredible ShadowClan was and how puny the other clans were. The tabby paused for a moment as they stood atop the slope before padding down and joining a group of apprentices, watching with disgust as his mentor went up to a ThunderClan she-cat, despite his own mingling with other clans.

Mothheart bounded over the ridge of Fourtrees in step with his clanmates, this time not even hesitating on the lip to marvel at the other clans. His warrior name still new enough to catch him off guard at times, he carried his head high, thick golden coat billowing around his paws as he went. Proud of himself and his clan. Purring to himself with excitement he looked around the clearing for someone to talk to.

Willowpaw grumbled as he trotted after his clanmates into the Gathering. He really didn't want to waste his time on these other clans but... At least something interesting might happen... He padded to the outskirts of the clearing, nothing particularly interesting seemed to be going on but one can never really tell without poking around.

((Moth is looking for conversation, Willow is skulking around but open))

Cloudbreeze had given the signature nod to her father, her fluffed tail swishing as she took her typical spot. It had worn just slightly to her specific frame, the she-cat now being the oldest-sitting deputy of the Clans. She kept her spot, her head held high with dignity. It commanded a bit of respect, holding such a title for so long. But it had its effects on her. A gentle graying now affected her muzzle, her whiskers twitching at the tiny breeze that flowed by.

Featherpaw wasn’t too far behind Willowpaw in the pack of WindClan cats as they entered the clearing. “It’s such a nice night, right, Willowpaw?” He asked, his head tilted back to marvel at the colorful leaves overhead, unaware that his clanmate had left him to stand alone gawking at the trees. “Just like a sunset!” He chirped with a twitch of his tail for emphasis. He turned to continue pestering Willowpaw only to find the grey tom had slinked away to sit by himself. With a shrug, Featherpaw decided to leave him be--I guess I can talk to him later-- and began to look around for another cat to talk to.

As Windclan arrived and dispersed throughout the Gathering a cat caught Mothheart's attention. An almost ridiculously fluffy, mostly white individual amidst the throngs of primarily sleeker, short haired cats. He quickly made his way across the clearing, just barely catching the last words. Mothheart paused to consider. "The leaves?" He looked up at the great oaks. "Yeah, they do look like sunset!" It wasn't something he'd spent time considering before but the leaves were very pretty. His fluffy, pale golden tail swished around to cover his paws as he settled, sort of losing track as he continued staring up at the leaves.
