Gingerpaw's eyes softened as he set his gaze on the entrance to the den. The warm orange rays of sun cast over the entrance to the den, staining the dirt in front of the opening a red-orange color. Although he loved all of the other seasons, leaf-fall was by far his favorite- or at least so far. He hadn't yet experienced all of the seasons, but Leaf-fall was the most pleasant for him. The thing he enjoyed most was how beautiful the colors of the sun looked on the yellows and reds of the trees, it really was a beautiful sight to see.
Licking his paw and dragging it over his ear, he smoothed his fur, getting ready for the day. He knew that many cats had already left on the dawn patrol, but he had somehow been lucky enough to get some free-time in camp, despite how unlucky his life seemed. Arching his back in a stretch, he padded over to the camp entrance before finding himself nose-to-nose with Jaggedpaw. "Oh- um... sorry about that." His ears grew hot, and he felt more embarrassed when Jaggedpaw swiped his tongue across the fur on his head. Even if he felt uncomfortable, he sort of liked it. "H-Hey there, Jaggedpaw. What are you up to?" He asked the words quietly, but they were still loud enough for the other tom to hear.
