The sparrow never saw it coming. A pair of dark paws swatted it down, pinning it to the leaf-covered ground. Aster was not in a haste to kill her prey. She relaxed her grip, watching the sparrow struggling to free itself, before pinning it down again. Prey was plentiful here, even the bare and cold season was coming. After having enough of this game, she took a bite at its neck, and started to eat it.
