Strawkit's apprentice ceremony

The ceremonies grew easier each time Grasssnake did them and now it was another kit's turn to join the apprentices. He leaped up onto the jaggedrock and wrapped his tail around his paws. "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath the Jaggedrock for a clan meeting!" He called out, his voice sounding super confident now.

Beetlepaw padded out of the apprentice's den, bleary-eyed and wobbly with sleep from her nightly misadventures. Sitting around the growing circle she waited for the kitten of the day to get their name and make the apprentices den just a little bit warmer.

Bounding up to the bottom of Jaggedrock, Strawkit stood looking up at Grasssnake with wide eyes. Today she'd be come an apprentice and she'd never been more excited in her life, which was saying something, seeing as though the fluffy she-kit was easily amused. Wondering who her mentor would be, she plopped her rump down on the ground, not daring to let her attention leave the deputy that sat above.

Grasssnake softly smiled when he saw the kit before contiuning. "Strawkit has reached the age of 6 moons and is ready to become an apprentice. From this day foeward until she earns her full warrior name, Strawkit shall be known as Strawpaw. Her mentor shall be me. That is all." Grasssnake hoped that it was alright that he had another apprentice. He felt he wasn't ready another one but he was the deputy for Starclan's sake. It should be alright. He jumped off the jaggedrock and touched noses with Strawkit. "Training starts tomorrow." He said.

Listening with her ears perked forward and practically about to jump up from where she sat, Strawpaw let out a purr of excitement when the deputy announced that he would be training her himself. Trained by the deputy... she would surely learn lots!

Bounding up to the fluffy tabby, she touched her nose with his, her olive eyes shining bright with eagerness as he spoke. "I can't wait!" she chirped happily.
