a new arrival in an odd place

all owl knew is that she had been with her mother and father one moment and the next she was in a rabbits burrow, she must have fallen asleep, the cold wind was harsher than normal but is must have been since she couldn't cuddle up next to her ma. She was utterly confused on her ware bouts but knew that there were "evil cats" as her mother called them all about the place so she was rather terror stricken.

Ashpaw decided to sneak out of camp to finally get some space. Just cause he had a disability, the whole clan decided he needed help with everything. Ashpaw limped last the entrance, for the first time without a warrior, and smiled. He ran off to the open area as he wanted to practice with his 3 legs instead of being worried for. As Ashpaw got to the Moore he started practicing his pouncing. He instantly noticed how hard it was to pounce on something with only one leg and fell many times.

owl sat the wind was so loud! it was all she could focus on, soon a new sound arrived, the sound of feet- no- paws! was her family coming to get her? maybe! she started mewling not caring if it was not them, maybe it was someone who could help her find her parents!

As Ashpaw fell down yet again, he heard some mewing. 'why would a kitten he out here?' He thought confused as he looked around. He noticed a little dirt hole that looked like it hadn't been used recently. The mewing sounded louder by the hole so he limped over to take a peek. Inside was a small little brown kit that was very skinny and cold. He couldn't tell how old it was or how long it has been there, but he did know it's mother wasn't around. Ashpaw smiled at the kit and judged it, hoping to see any reaction to see if it was healthy.

she saw the big cat, and then panicked, this was not her parents, she spat and hissed and got scared by the stump leg, then let out a loud sneeze!

Ashpaw smiled at the kit as she tried to fight him off. When she sneezed it was the most adorable thing he has ever seen. He instantly wanted to protect the little kit. "I'm not that scary, you could probably beat me in a fight. You must be hungry, huh. Let me take care of you, please." He said and laid down to be her height. First he would have to warm her up, but if she started to trust him, Ashpaw could take her into camp. She seemed old enough to eat prey.

she glared up at him, he seemed kind enough and was not very likely do hurt her, she she let him take her, but still with a bit of cation.

Ashpaw picked her up and padded towards camp. He knew the clan wouldn't mind cause leaving a kit in the wild wasn't the code. Ashpaw was slow with his limp style walk but soon enough he arrived. Many clan cats stared at the kit but then continued on their way. He padded towards the nursery, to at least let the kit warm up.

she squealed when she saw all the other cats and got scared, when she was put down she took of somewhere, anywhere but here woild be better

Ashpaw laid down and started licking the it's the backwards to warm her up. "Don't worry, Windclan isn't scary, This is the nursery, you are safe here." Ashpaw mewed as he continued to keep her warm.

she huffed and sat thinking about why here mother and father had left her here, did they not want her? was she not meant to be? the though of that made her sad but it seemed she had a new friend so that was ok!

"If you stay here I can go get some food for you!" He mewed after warning her up.

she mewed as if to say yes! the though of food was nice

Ashpaw padded over to the prey and picked up a mouse, the kit couldn't eat anything bigger. He padded back towards the nursery, wondering if the clan would accept the kitten who was definitely abandoned. He smiled as he saw her and set the mouse down.

she looked at it with huge eyes and pounded on it taking a huge bite and chewing faster than she should gulping down the fresh kill as if she hadn't eaten for years!
