Happy trails

CHARACTERISTICS :

  • Physical Build & Common Attributes : Narrow and wiry, WindClan cats are often visibly taller and thinner than many of the average Clan cats in the forest. Their lack of consistent diet on the moor prevents them from ever getting as muscular or heavy as many of their neighboring counterparts, so it is not uncommon for WindClanners to be noticeably scrawnier even during seasons of plenty. The majority of natural-born WindClan cats have shorter, thicker pelts that help keep them properly insulated from the harsh elements, but longer coats can be found just as often. WindClanner's tend to be relatively dull as far as coat colors go, due to their need to effectively blend in with the limited surroundings available during any given scenario.
  • Clan Attitudes & Characteristics : Prickly, proud, and often isolationists to the bone, WindClan is known for their explosive temperament and immediate default to defensive behaviors. Although the Clan rarely goes out of its way to provoke any unnecessary drama on any of their borders and prefers to simply mind their own business, they have no qualms about settling the score with whatever means necessary- after all, diplomacy only goes so far whenever your kin could be in danger. Due to their close proximity to the open sky and the Clan's native lands of the Highstones, WindClan enjoys the most intimate connection with StarClan and boast some of the most devout believers.
  • Dietary Info & Hunting : Their primary diet includes rabbits and hares, although WindClanners often stock their fresh-kill pile with smaller rodents and birds whenever the opportunity presents itself. Their hunting technique hinges essentially on their noteworthy speed, but hunts are often a team effort between Clanmates who assist in the feat of flushing out different prey.
  • Courtship : Courtship in WindClan revolves around the idea of an intimate personal connection and showing affection, thus scents and visual appeal are the essential aspects of a blossoming courtships. Whenever a cat wishes to court his/her Clanmate, they often take to the Flowering Fields to begin the task of building up an elaborate bouquet.

TERRITORY :
Territory Aesthetics : X, X, X

General Territory Description : Barren and extremely exposed, the moorland is a ragged collection of rolling and steep hills and clefts that encompasses the open lands before the Highstones. The majority of the territory is filled only by various fragrant grasses of different kinds, although thick swathes of hawthorn and gorse can often be found closer to the camp. There's an extremely limited amount of undergrowth or foliage, most of which is closer to the borders; Thunderpath, Fourtrees, and the river. Watch out for the rocks that are buried in the hills, though!

CURRENT ALLIANCES & ENEMIES :

WINDCLAN'S INNER RULES UNDER CURRENT LEADERSHIP :
FORBIDDEN ROMANCE : Much like her predecessor, Heronstar is incredibly understanding and empathetic towards those that seek love outside of the clan. Despite this, the way it's treated would differ by rank. An apprentice would be encouraged to give it up before it goes any further, same for a warrior, however the warrior would spend more time uninvited to gatherings and the like. If there are kits involved in the Forbidden Romance, Heronstar would allow them the choice of what clan they live in - presuming the other parent is fit to take care of them.

MURDER & MAIMING [In Clan & Out of Clan] : While circumstances and extenuating factors play a big part in just how these proceedings will go down, if a cat from WindClan goes out of their way to murder/permanently disfigure or maim another cat, it won't turn out pretty. Punishments will be severe, rank being revoked, indefinite confinement to camp, exile, but cat in question will not be given up to an enemy Clan or killed regardless of what happens.

CLAN-JUMPING : Although WindClan is currently fairly open and relaxed on the subject of Clan-jumping, circumstances are extremely important in gauging a character's potential success at joining WindClan; the most important question is why are you joining? If a character is only attempting to join WindClan because they were exiled from another Clan due to severe circumstances [such as murder/maiming/causing intense drama between Clans] they'll likely be shut down. If a member of WindClan leaves, under assumed positive circumstances [such as the fact that they feel they do not belong], there will be little to no issue. If another Clan takes in a member of WindClan who was exiled under negative circumstances, expect consequences on behalf of Heronstar.
