A brief description of your character:

Heronpaw is one of the most loyal cats one could ever hope to meet, and she is quite often found with a kind glimmer in her eyes and a smile on her face. She is the first to offer to clean the dens, to entertain kits, and give up her prey for a clan member more in need of it. However, she is not without her faults, as she tends to become too loyal towards those she’s close to or deems worthy. Heron also has a short temper, lashing out (although she’s prone to apologising rather quickly), and she is afraid of violence.

What are the duties of a deputy?:

A deputy is not only second in command to a leader, but their confidant, and they also need to understand how to support a leader without undermining them. Deputies are in charge of many domestic aspects in the life of a clan, such as the patrols that go out, who gets to mentor their younger generations, and get a say in who attends gatherings. While leaders are largely in charge of dealing with those who break clan rules or the warrior code, deputies get to voice their opinions in the matter, though they must be careful not to directly challenge their leader, or it can cause serious unrest and problems in the clan. A deputy must also be ready to lead at any time, no matter how long they’ve been in the role - nothing is ever sure, or set in stone, and they need to be ready for that.

What would you bring to the site as a leader?:

I’d love to explore Heron’s potential as a morally grey character - where she really has to struggle in doing what’s actually correct for her clan over the needs of someone she sees as more important. She’s always had an air of maturity, balanced with her youthful innocence, and so I plan to have her stay similar in that aspect. As she’s afraid of violence, I’d also love to see how she deflates intense situations with other clans rather than launching into battle, and to work on her as a character.

As for me, I’d love to be an addition to any plots thought up, and help refine and make decisions on ones in the mix. I’m sure Heron’s kind and loyal nature could lead to some questionable and interesting decisions on her behalf that could spice up WindClan’s every day routine.

Why do you deserve this position?:

It’s not about deserving it to me, I think I’d just give it the love and attention it deserves, and I would feel truly honoured to have a part that big in the clan. Amid every roleplay I’ve ever been in, I’ve never been in a leadership position before, and I’d love to take care of my favourite clan with it. I’ve been a fairly active rper in the time I’ve been here, and I have no plans for that to end or lapse as rping is one of things in my life that’s just mine. I prefer quality over quantity when I post so people always have something to work with, and I thoroughly enjoy interacting and rping with new people.
