Exploring Never Hurt Anyone

Violetpaw strutted into the Twolegplace, rather awkwardly, with a slight limp, as she gazed around. She was fed up with being in camp, and she'd spend so much time on Sunningrocks, it practically felt like her second den! She'd manage to convince Wolfpaw to come with her, and she was super excited to explore Twolegplace. If they found lots of prey, or catmint, Lichenstar and Wildflower would be super impressed! Wolfpaw and her would totally get their warrior names soon!

"Hurry up, Wolfpaw! You're taking forever!" She mewed, licking her tail and looking back at him with excited eyes. This was the farthest she'd ever gone out of camp before.

Wolfpaw had come with Violetpaw, partially because he didn’t want her to get hurt, but also because it would be fun. Plus, it would be impressive to get their warrior names soon. As Violetpaw teased her rolled his eyes and whacked her with his tail playfully? ”What’s the rush?” he mewed, although he was also excited to explore Twolegplace. He watched the she-cat limp, a hunt of concern filled his eyes. He shook his pelt, dismissing negative thoughts, and kept walking, looking around for something interesting

"Well, I want to explore every inch of this place!" Violetpaw mewed, turning around to face him. She noticed the hint of worry in his eyes and frowned. "Relax, I feel fine. Wildflower said I could do light duties and in a few more sunrises I'd be fine. Besides, we took on that ThunderClan apprentice, didn't we?" She meowed defensively. Violetpaw wasn't known to hide behind others and let them do the work for her. Injured or not, she could hold her own in a fight.

"Besides, it's all kittypets and skittish loners around here. Every cat knows that kittypets are too docile, weak, and scared to fight." Violetpaw told him, a glint of amusement in her tone. "This is our best chance to become warriors! If we show we're super brave, Lichenstar will be super impressed!" Violetpaw added, giving a prideful tail flick as she marched on.

Wolfpaw laughed. ”Ok, ok, I’m sure you are fine. This will be fun to explore!” he ran after the she-cat, grinning. His fluffy grey fur flew into his face, and he stumbled, falling flat onto the ground. Laughing, he pulled himself up and shook off the dirt in his pelt. The loud thud made Wolfpaw a bit nervous. He didn’t want anyone to hear it and come towards them. Suspending his fears, he continued walking. This is nice. Just me and Violetpaw. he thought. He looked at some of the houses. ”Ugh! Imagine living there!” he wrinkled his nose in disgust. ”And it stinks over here!” he laughed. He could never be a kittypet. Wolfpaw was born to be a clan cat. He would hate being confined in a tiny house and eating disgusting little...well, he didn’t know what kittypets ate, but it was probably revolting.

Violetpaw laughed when Wolfpaw fell, flashing him a teasing glance. She paused, waiting for him to get up, before continuing on. "Oh yuck! You're right, it reeks! Why do twolegs put crow-food into those shiny things? Do they want to attract badgers and foxes?" She scowled, rolling her eyes at the stupidity of twolegs. Honestly, how stupid could they be? She gave a little jump as a monster roared to life from somewhere far away, the noise still audible from where they were. "Well," she gave her pelt a shake, "We certainly won't find any living prey here. We might as well head that way. That den looks abandoned. I don't suppose twolegs want to live in a den with a bunch of holes."

As she spoke, she pointed with her tail to an abandoned house. The windows were broken and shattered, wooden boards boarding them up. The door had a gaping hole in the bottom left side, enough room for Lightningstar, the leader of ThunderClan, to wiggle through. Tiles were missing on the roof, and cobwebs were plastered everywhere. A tiny hole in the wall showed that at least some mice lived there. The perfect spot for hunting.

Wolfpaw nodded as Violetpaw talked. ”Seriously, Twolegs can be so stupid!” he laughed. As he looked towards the abandoned house, he nodded. ”There might be some prey!” he started to walk through the large hole in the wall. Even though just hanging out was fun, it would be good if they could bring home some prey from this adventure. As he stepped in, mice skittered around everywhere. ”Wow, a lot of prey.” he whispered, looking around at all of the mice. There were definitely enough to bring back to Riverclan. This was a perfect spot to hunt! He crouched down, and tried to snag a mouse with his paw. He had been hunting before, but it was mostly fish. This would be a great chance to practice land prey. He missed the mouse and sighed. He got ready to try to catch another.

OOC: There isn’t a specific roll for the Twolegplace, so I’m just gonna use Riverclan stats.

Violetpaw nodded towards Wolfpaw and slowly moved away from him, stalking a small creature, taking tiny steps. A small bird had fluttered in from one of the holes in the roof, perched on a piece of wood. The bird was preoccupied with cleaning its wings, so it hadn't yet noticed her. As she approached the bird, a mouse ran by, spooking it and it fluttered away. "Otter-dung!" She hissed underneath her breath, looking at Wolfpaw with an exasperating look. "That mouse spooked my fresh-kill!"

Wolfpaw shrugged. ”Oh well.” he replied, as he approached the bird. ”Maybe I can kill it.” he looked back at Violetpaw. He got very close to it, treading quietly. The bird heard his footsteps and fluttered away, taking perch on a ledge inside the house. He groaned quietly. ”Ugh, well at least the bird won’t disturb us.” he said, glancing around for another target.
