Hello! Whether you are a new or old member of this site, I hope this topic will help introduce you to the fifth clan of the forest, SkyClan. Use it to help make a new character, or use it to simply learn the basics of the clan, as it should contain plenty of information on the clan and their cats.

What are the Warriors like?

Build and Body: SkyClan cats have an exceptionally powerful frame, built for strength and agility. Many of their pelts are colors of white, gray, and brown. Though due to the integration of foreign blood, not all cats are like this.

Diet and Hunting: SkyClan's primary diet are birds, such as bluejays, crows, robins, and the like. Squirrels are also fairly common prey. SkyClanners typically hunt by stalking through the forest to find birds or squirrels on the ground, or even leap upwards to catch a bird off of a low-hanging branch.

Fighting Techniques: SkyClan warriors use their bulk, agility, and tree-climbing skills to fight. They usually use nearby trees to their advantage, often jumping onto it then tackling their enemy, or waiting in the branches for an ambush.

Courting: In SkyClan territory, there is a hole in the ground made by twolegs filled with special stones that shine like stars. The warrior who wishes to start a relationship will go make a pile of these stones in a secluded area, and when it is complete, they will present this to whomever they want to be their mate. The pile will then be dismantled either together or alone, depending on if the gesture is accepted or not. If it's accepted, the couple will keep one of the stones for their nest. Offering multiple cats the same pile of stones is considered extremely disrespectful.

What is the territory like?

The Camp: SkyClan camp is a series of small caverns formed by a giant brook that used to flow in their territory. Due to the rushing water that once existed, and from moons of being used as shelter, the stones on the floor are smoothed down and shine in the moonlight.

The Territory: Their territory is mainly characterized by their extremely tall pine trees. The ground is rough and rocky, and because of that, few plants grow there. A few streams and brooks used to or do run through the territory. Within the forest, the Glittering Stones lays carved into the earth, where the cats get the stones they use to court mates.

Who are the Higher Ranks?

Current Leader: Silverstar
Current Deputy: Sorrelwing
Current Medicine Cat: Mistedsong
Current Medicine Cat Apprentice: Blizzardpaw

What are the current leader's views on code breaking, acceptance from outsiders, wars, ect?

Forbidden Relationships: The kits of half-clan relationships will not be punished, since it's not their fault they were born under such conditions. The same cannot be said for the parents. Punishments are typically not being able to leave camp alone, not being able to leave camp at all, or being stripped of their duties, depending on the intensity of the offense. Exile is unlikely, even with severe offences.

Acceptance of Rogues or Clan-Hoppers: Abandoned kits are to be accepted. Apprentice and older aged cats typically need to prove they will be loyal to the clan, even so they may not be fully trusted for a while if they are accepted.

War and Battles: War is best to be avoided, but battles may still ensue if there is no reasoning. A clan member intentionally stirring up conflict and causing battles, internal or between clans, is a serious offence and will be punished varying on how bad the conflict gets.

Murder: There must be a really good reason to justify it. Even if the offender somehow manages to talk their way out of an extremely harsh punishment, their duties being stripped, even if just temperary, is likely. If they can't be justified, then exile is highly likely.
