Wolfpaw's Warrior Ceremony

With each passing day came new hope that RiverClan truly was recovering. Not too long ago had the camp felt cold from lack of Clanmates, the nursery eerily quiet, the elder's den dusty and scentless. It was as if Newleaf had melted the frozen lock that kept the clan in stasis, with new life filling the voids iced over by Leafbare's cruelty. Lichenstar sat above the camp, eyes much warmer than they had been the past few moons. "All cats old enough to swim, gather beneath the Willow Branch for a clan meeting!"

Wolfpaw hurried out. Every since he had returned from his Moonstone Journey, he had wondered which ceremony would be his. And soon, Violetpaw would be joining him. He had groomed his fur neatly, so unlike the day he had is appprentice ceremony. He gazed up at Lichenstar, ready to revive his new name.

A grin threatened to spread across her face. "Wolfpaw, please step forward," she called down, even if he was already at full attention. It was only a formality to ensure all gathered knew what was to happen. The young tom was more than prepared, seeing as his pelt was well-groomed for the occasion. It was almost cute.

"I, Lichenstar, leader of RiverClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. He has trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend him to you as a warrior in his turn. Wolfpaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life?"

Wolfpaw stepped forward. This was it! He glanced back at Violetpaw, and flashed her a quick grin, before returning his attention back to Lichenstar. Then, he soppier the words that many warriors of Riverclan has poke before him in response to the leader. Looking up at Lichenstar confidentially, he said, ”I do.” His calm demeanor slipped, showing how he actually felt, super excited! Almost shaking with excitement, Wolfpaw summoned back his dignity, just letting a smile grace his face. It was alright to be excited, surely, it was his warrior ceremony!

The calico held back a chuckle. "Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. Wolfpaw, from this moment you will be known as Wolfstorm. StarClan honors your strength and warmth, and we welcome you as a full warrior of RiverClan." She leapt down to be amongst her Clanmates as they cheered the young tom's new name.

"Wolfstorm! Wolfstorm!" Violetpaw's voice echoed loudest in the clearing, tensing her muscles as she readied for her own ceremony. Her eyes glowed when they met the newly named Wolfstorm, and a grin graced her delicate features.
