What Do You Do in the Daylight? [closed]

The shallow dip of Fourtrees was void of the innately familiar sea of spring-fresh heather and grasses that unfolded endlessly upon the moorland, the protective encircling of undergrowth and blossoming trees gently rattling under the faint urging of a barely evident breeze from somewhere far beyond the Highstones. Although the early morning was rather chilly and wet, there was an enticing promise of warmth- one could feel the brewing heat gathering alongside the steadily rising morning sun. The well-worn earth of the sacred grounds was slightly muddy beneath Shrikepaw’s feet, laden with a stubbornly lingering dampness from the night before, a little map of paw-prints easily left behind in his wake as he continued to venture further into the empty gathering place.

Shrikepaw hadn’t been allowed to attend the Gathering during the last full moon- although he had tried to follow the party, Brindlestar had quickly quelled that little adventure with a few smacks between the ears- and now he found himself entirely too restless to try and wait for the next full moon. At least there wouldn’t be anyone around to disturb his explorations, if he was here by himself! The young WindClanner couldn’t help the sharp pinprick of satisfaction at that realization, continuing in his aimless prowling of Fourtrees.
