Sunkit's Apprentice Ceremony

"Let all cats old enough to capture their own prey gather underneath Highrock for a clan meeting!" Sorrelwing yowled.

Sunkit could hardly contain his excitement as his mother gave him a last minute grooming. He was finally going to be an apprentice! No more boring days stuck in camp-- he'll finally get to stretch his legs out in the forest! He waited impatiently, energy coursing through his fluffy little body as he waited with bated breath for the ceremony to begin.

"Sunkit, you have reached the age of six moons, so it is time you be apprenticed. From now until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Sunpaw. Your mentor will be Iceheart. May he teach you everything he knows." As she finished, Sorrelwing leaped down to continue her duties.

Sunkit-- no, Sunpaw!-- held his head high as the his Clanmates called out his name. He caught his mother's gaze and beamed at her, puffing his chest out proudly. This was going to be his first step to becoming the best warrior ever!
