Physical Build
Riverclan cats are built large, with a more plump appearance. They usually have thick fur that helps them with swimming, and many have webbed paws. In addition to being thick, fur is often long and fluffy. Pelts are often colored lighter, with many greys or whites. Many eye colors are common, such as blue, amber, or green.

Beliefs/Attitude
Riverclan cats happen to be a bit proud and full of themselves. As the only clan that swims/hunts fish, they see themselves as superior and stronger compared to other clans. This pride takes them far in skirmishes and battles. Riverclan values beauty and cats can often be found grooming their abundant fur, as well as decorating around camp. They have time to focus on these little things due to the large amount of fish, and are almost always well-fed.

Eating/Hunting
On a diet of mainly fish, they usually eat well, but when rivers dry up there is a nourishment problem. They can eat and hunt other prey, but are built to and prefer hunting fish. These fish are often the reason many other clans think of them as "stinky", but Riverclan cats enjoy the smell of fish. Riverclan cats can both hunt in the water or on the shores, each method having different techniques. Many cats have their own fishing strategies, which can often be traced back to a mentor.

Courtship
Courtship in RiverClan is focused on beauty, unsurprising for a clan that likes to decorate their nests and dens. Cats that wish to start a relationship will gather colourful objects to line their nests, and then offer it to their desired mate to share. Some objects that cats like to collect are strange colourful leaves from the Twolegplaces, feathers of birds, scales of colourful fish and smooth stones from the riverbanks.


TERRITORY:

Riverclan territory has a border of reeds and is a bit swampy/wetland-ish. A few trees can be found outside the camp, and a large river runs through their territory. In camp, they have a leader’s den, warrior den, elder’s den, medicine cat den, apprentice’s den, and nursery. To call clan meetings, the leader or deputy will stand on the Willow Branch, an extended branch of a willow tree.

INNER RULES:

Forbidden Romance
Having fallen deeply in love with his mate, Wolfstar understands that sometimes love is unavoidable. If a warrior is actively engaged in a forbidden romance, especially with an enemy of Riverclan, they will be encouraged to stop, but not forced. They may miss a few gatherings, but that would be it. If any kits are produced, he will work out with the other party how to proceed. If one engaged in a romance with a kittypet/loner/rouge and they wish to join the clan, he most likely will allow it after they prove their loyalty.

MURDER/MAIMING
Purposefully going out of your way to kill/attempt to kill a cat is condemning in Wolfstar’s eyes. In a few circumstances, it may be alright, but those are few in number. After a claim is made that a cat attempted to/murdered/maimed another, the clan will hold a trial. The two options will be exile or not, if the latter is chosen the cat can expect consequences such as being confined to camp, stripped of their rank, etc. In no circumstances would the cat themselves be sentenced to death.

WARS/BATTLES
Wolfstar wants to avoid war, but if peace is broken, he wont hold back. If any member of the clan is heavily harmed without valid reason, prey is stolen, or another clan deliberately does something to hinder Riverclan, he will call war. If a war has begun, between two clans, he’ll try to stay out of it, but if one of his allied clans* is struggling, he’ll jump in.

ACCEPTANCE
If a cat wants to join Riverclan, they will generally be accepted. They will most likely receive an apprentice name and make their way up from that, as to prove their loyalty. If it is found that a cat was exiled from a clan, he will rethink their acceptance depending on what got them kicked out. For example, if a cat was exiled for murder, they wouldn’t be allowed in the clan. However, if a cat got exiled because of a forbidden romance, they would more likely be allowed to stay. Kits are always accepted, as well as pregnant queens, although for them it may be temporary.
