Silkkit's apprentice ceremony

Grasssnake jumped up onto the jaggedrock, as his eyes scanned the camp. As Silkkit entered his gaze he called out, "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey, gather beneath the jaggedrock for a clan meeting!" He called out, the words not feeling so strange on his tounge anymore and his voice sounding more confident.

splashpaw padded outside of the apprentice den. Her friend was becoming an apprentice and she was excited. They could spend more time together and maybe even train together.

Silkkit had been planning another prank, when he heard Grasssnake call out. Was it his turn? He was old enough. It could be Panseykit's ceremony though or maybe Crinklekit's. But maybe it was his. And so with only a small guess in his mind, Silkkit padded up and sat by Splashpaw, eager to await what the anouncement would be about.

As the crowd gathered, Grasssnake wrapped his tail around his paws. "Silkkit has become 6 moons and is ready to be apprenticed. So from this day forward, until he earns his full warrior name, Silkkit shall be known as Silkpaw. His mentor shall be Toadspeckle. That is all." Grasssnake yowled out before jumping off of the jaggedrock.

Silkkit watched as it was in fact his ceremony, and became Silkpaw, the name 'Silkkit' now being dead. He puffed up his chest in pride as his new name was called out, before running up towards his new mentor. "I'll be the best apprentice ya ever had!" Silkpaw said smugly.
