The fox snarled in agony. This was a particularly unpleasant hunting experience for him. He darted at the larger cat with open mouth, determined to take at least one cat down.
(Not sure how to RP predator taking rolls XP)

As the fox was being distracted, Stormpaw leaped onto the fox and clung to his neck with teeth and claws.

Stormpaw felt he could not hold the fox for long, and he had to release his grip. As he fell his claw left deep marks on the fox's flank. Pain, exhaustion, frustration. The fox fled as fast as he could with tail tucked between his legs.
Stormpaw sat on the forest floor, breathing heavily. We did it? We've chased off the fox...! It seemed that his wounds were not hurting anymore.
