A running start (Open)

Fernpaw padded outside of the apprentice den and breathed in the cool, crisp morning air. She sat down at camp entrance waiting for the others to join her in a hunting patrol.

Harepaw stretched, the rustling of others waking up bringing her out of sleep. Her eyes blinked a few times before she finally rose to her paws, shaking the moss bedding from her long fur. She trotted out of the den, scenting the cool air, sending a shiver through her.

She made her way to Fernpaw by the entrance, waving her tail in greeting. "G'morning," she greeted, her voice drowsy as she spoke.

“Morning harepaw.” she mewed in reply also a little tired but ready for the hunting patrol.

Patchpaw heard Harepaw exiting the apprentices den, he stretched out of his moss bed and padded over to the two she-cats. "Hello" he mumbled "Are you two going on patrol? Or what?".

“Yes, you want to come?” She mewed at Patchpaw with a smile.

Patchpaw flicked his ear, it'd be nice going out on a hunting patrol, especially with Fernpaw. He'd found himself growing fond of the she-cat. "Hmmmm.. Okay, I'll come. Just don't try and prank me" he eyed her up suspiciously.
