Tansykit sat near the center of camp, lazily batting a moss ball between her paws. She was just barely escaping the harsh greenleaf heat - The small pocket of shadow she rested in wasn't the best shield, but it was good enough that it stopped her from retreating back to the nursery. The hot sun had prevented the other kits from coming out to play with her, so she was bored out of her mind, even if she occupied herself with a solo game. She wished this weather was over and she was an apprentice already, exploring the territory, learning how to hunt and fight.. doing something more interesting than this.

Having just returned from a hunting patrol as well as a border patrol, Lightningstar dropped his kills at the freshkill pile. Although the weather was still warm, Leaffall would soon be underway and with Leafbare practically at the camp entrance, the clans needed to up their hunting patrols if they wanted enough for the looming cold season. Not to mention the rogues that continually bothered the clans by interrupting patrols and stealing prey, what foxhearts. But alas, while the large leader began to grow angry over the ordeal, he let out a sigh and gave his fluffy pelt a shake. Sageleaf would certainly disapprove of him acting out a anger and that was the last thing he wanted.

Making his way away from the freshkill pile, Lightningstar spotted a young kit near Highrock. She should've been with her mother and curiosity as to what she was doing out of the nursery drew him towards her. Padding over to her, his large paws thumping against the ground, he let out a huff to announce his arrival as he stood behind the she-kit, casting a dim shadow over her.
