Unsatisfied [Closed]

There were many things that Leopardcloud hated and yet, somehow, being a warrior was climbing up there. It wasn't the fact itself - he enjoyed his new life, his name... But he couldn't help but feel like something was missing. He had wanted to be the best warrior and he had reached that goal by simply becoming a warrior (as he was the best in general, so ego he was now the best warrior) and now he felt...Pointless. Annoyed at the fact he suddenly felt uncertain on what to do with himself. Was this just his life now? Do border patrols and go hunting? It seemed simple enough but the one thing he was missing was what was bothering him. Mostly when he wasn't sure what it was. But it was there, he just knew it. ...Ugh. He groaned, dropping his head onto his paws as his tail-tip twitched in annoyance.

This was what he hated most of all - uncertainty in his spot in life.

The cool leaf-fall breeze rustled the reeds as Mothheart trotted into camp; head held high to avoid tripping over his unusually large fish. It had been a reasonably good hunt, though the fish were tending to stay in the deeper waters due to the rapidly approaching leaf-bare. Though his thick fur tended to keep him warm and mostly dry, he didn't particularly want to go for a swim in this kind of weather. It was pure luck that the fish had ventured close enough to the surface that Mothheart had managed to catch it perched on his steppingstone while also avoiding falling in.

He deposited his catch in the freshkill pile, fluffy tail curling in satisfaction. Heading towards the warriors den for a nap, he caught sight of Leopardcloud seemingly moping on the ground. He purred to himself, they were both warriors now! The thought was still thrilling.

He abruptly pounced the remainder of the distance, landing heavily next to his best friend, tail lashing in excitement. "What's got your tail in a twist?" Mothheart purred, affectionately bumping his head against Leopardcloud.

Leopardcloud was so lost in his thoughts that he didn't hear the tell-tale heavy footfalls of Mothheart approaching until the tom thumped onto the ground next to him, bumping their heads together. The warrior huffed, gently swatting Mothheart's head away as he gave his friend a frown. "Nothing!" he retorted, fur fluffing up in defense. He wasn't about to admit that he was upset, not even to Mothheart. Being a warrior was what he had always wanted to be, he wasn't about to give anybody the chance to even think he wasn't happy with it. This...This flunk was his own problem, he would deal with it alone."Just...Thinking, I guess. About...Uh..." he drifted off, nose winkling as he fumbled for his words. His hope had been to change the topic but suddenly he wasn't sure what to even claim. "How I can't believe that you actually became a warrior, a turtle-brain like you."

Mothheart purred to himself at Leopardcloud's denial. He ungracefully flopped to the ground beside his friend, "Of course I became a warrior! What else would I do? Be a medicine cat" He chuckled at the thought, "That's Adderpaw's job!" He rolled onto his back to squint at him upside down"Maybe you just think too much!" He teased, gently reaching out to tap Leopardcloud's head with one large paw.
