A little sparring Date (closed)

Splashpaw was walking the border alone like she did everyday. This was the only time that she could be alone to her thoughts. Somehow nightpaw kept appearing in them and she wondered why. They were just friends, right? As splashpaw came by the thunderpath she saw a black cat and instantly recognized him. "Nightpaw!? What are you doing here?" she asked as she ran across the thunderpath when it was safe.

Nightpaw who had been trying in vain to catch some prey had wandered so far into the territory that he had ended up at the Thunderpath. Hearing Splashpaw’s voice the tom snapped his head up as she ran across the border to him. “Splashpaw? I was out trying to hunt but I’m having no luck today. What are you doing out here?” The large tom meowed looking at the she cat. Touching noses in greeting to his friend the tom then sat while he waited for an answer from the she cat had Ben on his mind a lot lately.

Splashpaw smiled at her friend and sat down also. "I walk the border during this time as its the only time I get to think." she mewed with a shy smile. "How come you can't seem to catch prey when I'm around." she mewed laughing.

Nightpaw’s ears burned in embarrassment as Splashpaw made a joke, and he laughed nervously. “I’m a better hunter than this I swear!” He meowed with a chuckle. Suddenly he got an idea, but whether or not Splashpaw would be up for it he wasn’t sure. Deciding to ask her anyways the tom meowed. “Hey Splashpaw? Do you uh want to umm spar?” The large black tom meowed shuffling a paw.

Spalshpaw smiled at him before getting to her paws. "Sure i would love to, lets see if you are as good as you say!" she mewed getting in her fighting pose. "No claws, I dont want to go home injured!" she mewed with a smirk.

Nightpaw purred. "Of course, I wouldn't want to hurt a friend." He meowed and stood. He ran towards Splashpaw smacking her on the side with a large heavy paw, making sure that his claws weren't out. He didn't want to hurt her.

Splashpaw pretended to fall down on the ground while laughing. "Ah! You win! I'm down!" she mewed while smiling up at him with a twinkle in her eyes.

Nightpaw laughed before he realized the time. "Oh shoot! It's Getting late, we should probably head back to camp soon." He meowed nudging Splashpaw up. Once she was up he touched noses before watching her turn to leave.

Splashpaw gave him a sneak lick attack before padding off onto the thunderpath, she didn't check for monsters so when she felt rumbling under her paws, she freaked out. She started running faster and as the monster barely missed her, she twisted her paw and fell onto the grass on the other sad. She got to her paws with a wince as her paw was now hurting, she could still walk but it always throbbed.

As Nightpaw watched her run across the thunderpath he heard a monster and watched as it barely missed Splashpaw and she went tumbling off on the other side. She looked okay, thank Starclan. as he turned to leave not long after he tripped on a stick and smacked his head on a rock causing some blood to come out. wincing he padded off to camp.
