Cinderkit's Apprentice Ceremony

Cloudbreeze yawned from her place near the High Rock, getting up and stretching her legs before she bounded swiftly to her place. It had clicked in her mind that it was time for another apprentice ceremony, and she was very much so ready. As soon as she was in her spot, the familiar call came to her mind as she inhaled to call out to her Clan.

"Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath the High Rock for a clan meeting!"

Cinderkit carefully stepped out of the den. He didn't look up, feeling a little shy and proud because he knew who this ceremony was for, he was the leader's son after all.

Cloudbreeze looked down to see her youngest sibling in his place, a gentle smile gracing her maw. It quickly faded though. No matter how much pride she placed within her kin, she had to remember that she was a leading figure to them just as much as their father. Even if she was simply an older sister she would be looked up to - but in her position, it would be even moreso.

"Cinderkit, you have reached the age of six moons. As is tradition, from this day forth until you receive your warrior name, you shall be known as Cinderpaw. I trust Lightningstar to be your mentor, and to pass much of his great strength onto you." Dipping her head, she dismissed the clan with her tail and swiftly lept down to join the rest of the clan's cheers at their new apprentice.

Padding up to his newly appointed apprentice, Lightningstar bent his next down and touched noses with his daughter and new apprentice. "We start training tomorrow," the large tom mewed stoically with a nod.
