Ebonypaw lifted her head from her nest with a yawn, needing to blink repeatedly to fully wake up. Oh…right, his trip to the Moonstane was that day! She got up and stretched, feeling a couple bones pop into place, finally shaking her head and giving herself a quick groom to keep her fur from getting all messy and tangled, all while attempting to fully wake up.
Once she was ready she quickly made her way out of the apprentice’s den, excitement starting to boil in her chest…when she realized she had to eat the herbs for the trip…oh joy…

Even with her apparently never-ending energy, Ebonypaw had to admit that her trip to Highstones was a bit longer than she expected it to be. Now, she wasn’t that tired, her clan was the closest of them all after all, but she had to admit that walking on the hard stones that made up most of the terrain when she was so used to the soft soil and long grass of the moors wasn’t exactly kind on her paws…at all.
And yet, she tried to shrug it off and act like it didn’t bother her at all. She was more than ready to meet these mysterious cats from the stars. Everyone that came back from their trips always had amazing tales to tell and soon she was going to have her own!
When she stepped into the Mothermouth…it was a strange sensation, to say the least. It was strange to be submerged in total darkness, her whiskers and the older cat’s steps her only guide, the damp and somewhat heavy air of the tunnels filling her lungs…but she didn’t feel scared. Part of her felt strangely comforted by this feeling. So odd…she couldn’t exactly put it into words…
However, she had to close her eyes as soon as they reached the large cavern with the Moonstone in it, its light blinding her for a couple seconds. As she allowed her vision to recover, she listened to Spinestalker’s words…press her nose against the rock? Sounded easy enough.
When she finally recovered enough vision to know where she was going at all, she approached the stone, ears lowering a bit as she laid down before it, closing her eyes again as she approached her face to the stone and felt the cold surface making contact with her nose. The feeling didn’t last too long, though as she soon feel into a deep sleep.

Ebonypaw’s eyes slowly opened, her head rising as she found herself in the moors again…the long blades of golden grass swaying gently on the breeze, inviting her to frolic and run. The starry night above her so comforting, the air itself filled with all kinds of soothing aromas, most of which she had trouble to identify yet felt so familiar in a way…
