Cinderpaw's Moonstone Journey

Although Flashpaw had a lot of feelings every time one of her siblings got closer to getting their full names, she was incredibly honored to be a part of their journey by accompanying them to the moonstone. She had done so with Badgerpaw, and now it was Cinderpaw's turn. She couldn't be more proud of her brothers. Taking herbs over to the apprentice den for him, she summoned Cinderpaw, and after the herbs had been eaten they headed to Mothermouth.

The journey wasn't the easiest, but that was kind of the point. Flashpaw, after making the journey several times, felt like it had made her stronger than before. She led the way into the cavern, down the tunnels, and stopped when they reached the widened area that housed the moonstone.

"Cinderpaw, it's time. Press your nose to the stone."

Cinderpaw sighed as he approached it. His ears flattened when the moonlight hit the stone. His fur shook. He glanced at Flashpaw, his sister as he crept forwards. He looked back to the stone and pressed his whole head against it. He felt him getting drowsy almost immediately. He curled up instinctively and he woke up in a starry place. He didn't move, he just watched his surroundings.

Padding towards the young apprentice, a black and white tom approached and it was none other than ThunderStar himself. Thunderstar, Lightningstar's father and the founder of ThunderClan, was remembered as one of the most courageous and compassionate founding leaders, developing the sympathetic components of the warrior code. He hoped to be able to pass down such attributes and beliefs of the code to his clanmates for many moons to come, and after watching Cinderpaw from the stars above, he had faith in the apprentice.

Giving a dip of his head to the tom, a soft smile was held on his black and white muzzle. "Here for your moonstone journey, I presume? I am Thunderstar, the previous leader and founder of ThunderClan," he mewed.
