Fire in the Forge [closed]

Vetiverpaw's paws itched as she sat beyond the entrance to camp. She had been relaxing for a couple of days, with Newleaf allowing the apprentices to hunt a bit more slowly as fuller bellies were a much easier sight. Her white and ashen coat had been groomed clean of any imperfections as per usual - a part of her routine she had adapted before sleeping to stay calm. Enthusiasm was clearly shining through her as she was awaiting her mentor - the leader. It wasn't a small task to have Firestar herself having taken the young she-cat under her paw, and she was so excited to impress Firestar with her hunting abilities she had acquired from Coalpaw. There was a secret hope she'd get to learn more today, as there was only so much excitement a young cat could get from catching toads.

With Firestar ill, the task of training her apprentice was bestowed upon him, much to his disliking. Above all else, Alfalfatuft hated apprentices. They were at the age where they asked too many questions and had no concept of spacial awareness. They had too much energy and just being around them put the tom in a bad mood, though of course he was almost always in a sour mood.

Making his way over to Vetiverpaw, his gaze empty and tail lashing back and forth, the fluffy russet colored tom let out a sigh. "Come on, let's get this over with," he huffed and not waiting for a reply, turned and began to head out of camp, knowing she would catch up to him.
