Firekit's apprentice ceremony

Cloudbreeze jumped up onto the high rock. "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather here for a clan meeting!"

Firekit bounded towards the meeting with excitement, it was time for her apprentice ceremony and she couldn’t wait.


BadgerStorm followed after his ball of excitement of a daughter with a big smile. He wondered who would teach his little girl and if he would have to make sure they taught her well.

Cloudbreeze saw the young kit bounce forward, and she nodded. "Firekit, you have reached the age of six moons old and it is time for you to be apprenticed. Until you receive your warrior name, you shall be known as Firepaw. Sandbreeze will be your mentor, and I have faith he will teach you well."

Firekit happily bounded towards Sandbreeze and touched noses with him.

BadgerStorm felt proud spring up inside him as firepaw was assigned the same mentor as him.

Sandbreeze looked up at Cloudbreeze with a smirk as she announced he would be little Firekit's mentor. Now I know she's trying to kill me, he thought to himself. He touched his nose to Firekit's and purred warmly.
