| Jester’s paws were starting to get used to clan territory. At least this time he wasn’t telling everyone in the whole territory about his presence through noise unlike last time, but the undergrowth was still making it tricky for the black tabby to move around silently…which was definitely being an issue now that he was trying to find something to hunt.
Yes, Greenleaf had also allowed the prey to go on the rise at the Twolegplace, but he had started to find that the more natural, healthier taste of the prey of the territories was more pleasant than having to catch a creature that most likely had grown eating waste from the twolegs, and over even having to avoid eating the stomach of the creature completely unless you wanted to find nasty surprises of have to endure a bellyache later on.
With a soft huff, he once more attempted to crouch and move silently towards the closest prey item he could find, his whole attention directed to the small furry creature as he kept fighting with the dense undergrowth to approach it. If he kept failing, maybe he would need to test his luck on another territory next…maybe the clan of the river? While he didn’t like to get wet, they seemed to be the smaller wild clan at the time, so his chances of encountering a feral cat should be lower… |

| Having been on a solo patrol, Lightningstar needed to clear his head. With the rise in rogue crimes sweeping through the forest at a rather rapid pace, the ThunderClan leader needed to come up with some way to put an end to their destructive ways. But right now, he needed to focus on hunting.
Having already caught a couple of squirrels, the large, fluffy leader padded along the riverbed in search of some voles, until a strange and unfamiliar scent hit his nose. Crouching down in the tall grass, it was quiet honestly difficult and somewhat pointless for the hefty leader to try and hide in such an open area, but he tried his best. Stalking forward, his gaze soon locked onto a cat who didn't hold any of the clan scents he was used to and that only meant one thing; they were a rogue.
Disregarding any and all stealthiness, Lightningstar leapt up from his hiding spot. Using his powerful legs, he sprung towards the rogue and barreled them over before pinning them down with all his weight.
"You dare step foot in my territory, you savage," he hissed through barred teeth as he met the cat's gaze. |

| Ears twitched lightly as the larger tom approached him. Jester’s eyes went from calmly scanning the area to wide open as they landed on the contrasting yellow eyes of the feral cat, even if it was only for a heartbeat or two at most. He could feel the air being forcefully knocked out from his lungs as his rib cage complained to him through bolts of stinging pain from the impact, up until that day, he had only encountered younger cats or the occasional adult yet somewhat calm fully-grown wild cat.
This was the first time he was forced to go face to face against an aggressive adult. Just by the initial hit he could tell that the tales of the strength of the wild clan of the forest weren’t as exaggerated as he originally guessed.
He saw stars dance in front of his eyes as his head slammed against the forest floor when the larger cat pinned him down. He quickly shook his head, looking up at him with ears flat and the fur on the back of his neck standing on end, not as much out of aggression as it was out of surprise with a hint of fear. From that day on, he would need to learn to be more aware of his surroundings, that’s for sure.
“Savage ME?!” He hissed as he tried to squirm out of the larger cat’s grasp, his slender frame not allowing him to fight as he could, so he needed to get away from the disadvantageous position he was in as quickly as possible shouldn’t he want to risk his own life “You are the one that decided to slash before meowing!”.
He folded his back paws against him before throwing a kick against the body of the larger tom with all his might. He wasn’t exactly hopeful to throw him off, he wished he was strong enough for that, but maybe it would throw his balance just enough, whether it was through surprise or pain, to loosen his grip and allow him to squirm out of his grasp “What is wrong with you wild cats?! No wonder many compare you to rabid dogs!”. |

| Holding the wriggling tom down with just his weight alone, their gazes met and it was obvious that he'd caught the rogue off guard. Good, now maybe he'd know how it felt to be attacked for no reason.
Letting out a low growl from deep in his throat, Lightningstar moved his muzzle closer to the tom his yellow eyes filled with rage. "You rogues will never be forgiven for killing an innocent kit," he spat, extending his claws from his large paws. He personally didn't think he'd come into contact with a rogue so soon after what had happened, but maybe this one was just especially a mousebrain... |
