Darkness is only ever broken by something... Bright

Iceheart was resting in the sunlight. Despite having slept reasonably, his episodes were growing increasingly worse lately and worry plagued his mind. He needed something to distract himself, even if for just a little bit. The snowy white tom sat up and shook his pelt free of dust. He considered hunting, but didn't want top be caught vulnerable if thaw pain caused him to pass out. No, it was better to stay near camp.

Brightkit poked her head outside, crinkling her nose and blinking at the sun until her vision adjusted. Though she was still small, the nursery was quickly becoming cramped for such an energetic young cat. Looking around camp, she spotted Iceheart across the clearing. Should she...? With a flick of her short tail Brightkit made up her mind and scampered over to the white warrior; he didn't look like he was busy with anything. She skidded to a stop next to him, just barely avoiding falling on her face. "What're you up to?" She chirped, staring up at him. Any entertainment he could provide would be far more interesting than hanging out with the other, younger, kits in the nursery.

Iceheart looked down as a familiar voice suddenly sounded beside him, turned his blue and green eyes to see Brightkit. Well, she was nearly of age to become an apprentice. "Nothing," he answered, not wanting to burden the young female with his problems. "I was actually trying to figure out something to do. Want to help?"

"Yeah! I'll help!" Brightkit hopped in place, whiskers twitching in excitement. "What do you normally do? Cool warrior training stuff!? Practicing to fight off the other clans!?" She clumsily swiped at the air as she mimed fighting, knocking herself off balance. She wobbled but managed to stay on her paws, tail twitching in mild embarrassment.
