A little Love from mom

Badgerkit was sitting by the nursery entrance and looked up at the sky. He was almost old enough to become an apprentice and wondered if ashkit and Cinderkit would soon follow. Even though the black and white Tom stayed in the nursery he never really had time with his mother. Lightning star visited Badgerkit a lot so today Badgerkit decided it would be a mother-son day.

Badgerkit looked at his mother, smiling. “Oh nothing too serious, just noticing that I never really spend much time with you anymore.” He mewed getting to his little white and black paws. “Maybe we could do something fun.” He purred as he turned to face SageLeaf.

Badgerkit jumped up and down in excitement. He wouldn’t let his friend see him like this but this was his mother. “Yes let’s go!” He said bounding towards the entrance tripping over his own paws.

Badgerkit looked up at his mother than up at the weird creature. “Umm... is it a mouse?” He asked never actually seeing the weird creature in the prey pile so maybe it wasn’t a mouse since those are always in the prey pile. “Oh I know! It’s a squirrel!” He mewed happily as his tail swept from side to side in excitement.

Badgerkit watched as his mother hunted and when she gave the all clear he bounded towards. “That was so cool!” He mewed sniffing the squirrel.

Badgerkit sniffed the squirrel before taking a bite. “This is sooo good!” He mewed, purring in pleasure.

(Badger got in a fight with his mentor, will sand survive who knows. And fern is pranking her mentor, will mud survive, who knows >:3)

Badgerkit quickly nodded and looked at his mother. “Do we have to go back now?” he mewed curiously wanting to stay out more since kits weren’t ever supposed to leave camp.
