Lionkit prowled around the camp, his too-large-for-his-body creamy orange paws somehow finding every still crunchy leaf that littered the outskirts of the camp. He was definitely bored, and his nose twitched with all the different scents just beyond the barrier, a far cry from the warm milkiness of his mother and the nursery, or the numbing coldness of snow and leafbare rain. The tom-kit wanted nothing more than to explore the far reaches of his territory, to memories each inch of the terrain into his head. Sadly, he knew that leaving would mean worrying his family, and definitely getting in trouble. So instead he took to his pacing around the inner camp barriers, and chatting the ear off any cat who would listen. Huffing a sigh, watching the cold air billow around his muzzle, he bee lined for the centre of camp where he sat and began to groom himself.

"I thought you were gonna wear a new trail into the dirt pacing like that," Mistedsong said with a chuckle from where he'd been curled up outside of the medicine den trying to get some sun. "You've got the whole rest of your life to live, don't wear out your muscles now just by walking for no reason. Is there no other kits or apprentices around you can play with?"

His ears pricked up and he paused grooming himself mid-stroke. Lionkit turned to the medicine cat with mild alarm in his eyes, wondering if for a second the patched tabby would reprimand him for his restlessness. Pleased to hear it was just a joke, he padded closer as the medicine cat continued speaking. "The other kits are all napping. Something about it being too cold," he mewed, crouching down next to the tom. "Besides, they're lame. And I don't know many of the apprentices, they don't normally talk to kits unless there's something wrong with us. They think we're babies."" He mumbled that last part, a little indignant due to a previous experience with an apprentice where his feelings had been hurt because he wasn't mature enough to hang out with the older cats. "What are you doing?" Lionkit asked, however obvious it was.
