Wandering [Open]

Adderkit looked around, his green eyes taking in as many details as he could as he poked his head out from the entrance of the nursery. He ducked back in for a moment, taking a deep breath to calm his racing heart. Today would be his first day out of the nursery. He knew that outside the nursery was safe, he'd seen some of the other kits and apprentices and even warriors go in and out, but he still felt hesitant. With another deep breath, he made his way out, chest puffed out in mock-confidence and tiny paws taking him his first few steps out of the nursery.

Oddpaw sat in the middle of the ShadowClan clearing when she noticed a tiny kit venture out of the nursery. 'How cute!' she thought 'He can't be more than two moons old!'. She watched the kit, he seemed like he was being very brave. She edged closer, too shy to talk to the kit despite being older than him. She resigned herself to watching him curiously.

Adderkit looked around, his tiny paw-steps slowly gaining in confidence as he started to look around a bit more. The tiny brown tabby tried to take in as much of the camp as he could, amazed at how big it looked before something, or rather someone caught his eye. He turned timidly to see a cat that looked older than him looking directly at him.

Oddpaw purred in amusement as a kit took first notice of her. She stretched her paws out and gently patted his head with her fluffy paw. "Hello" she said hesitantly, following up quickly with "it's a good day for kits to be out the nursery, there's not much snow about".

Adderkit seemed frozen as the apprentice spoke to him, and then patted him on the head. His striped brown fur was fluffed up to make himself bigger, but did little more than make him look like an anxious ball of fluff.
"H-Hello!" He squeaked, caught off guard.

Oddpaw mrrrrwd with amusement, as the kit fluffed up. Clearly he was as shy as she was, that was to be expected from a kit's first day out of the nursery. "Whats your name small one?" she said kindly cocking her head.

"M-my name is Adderkit." He stammered, looking up at the apprentice, too scared to make a snappy reply that he would have given in any other circumstance. He gulped before speaking again. "What's your name?"

Oddpaw stood up, her fur ruffling in the wind. "I'm Oddpaw" she flashed a warm smile to the kit."It's lovely to meet you Adderkit, it's a lovely name you have". She walked over to the camp exit, she turned back to look at Adderkit, "Maybe I'll be your mentor when you come of age to be apprenticed. I'll have to become a warrior first. It was nice meeting you Adderkit but duty calls!". She started walking out through the bramble exit.
