Top of other ear is gray, gray splotch on head, and pale gray stripes on tail. Rest of body is white. Fur is thick, with large ears. Mate is Oaksplash. Kits are Rosepaw and Splashpaw. Sister is Mintypaw, brother is Hailflake. Father is Lionstripe. Apprentice is Ripplepaw. Former apprentices are Creamheart and Spottedbranch. 8 lives left.

Deputy
Oaksplash- long-limbed white tom with ginger, white, and dark brown splotches on his entire feathery pelt. Slim and long whiskers, amber eyes, along with a v-shaped nick in his left her. Right ear is shredded from the tip to the middle. Mate is Dewstar. Daughter is Rosepaw. Son is Splashpaw. Former apprentice is Hailflake.

Medicine Cat:
Gorsefeather- Sandy brown top with abnormally large ears. Gentle white paws and hazel eyes. Apprentice is Mintypaw. Nephew is Snowkit.

Medicine cat apprentice:
Mintypaw- small silver-white she cat with minty green eyes. Paws, muzzle, and tail slowly fades into a faint gray. Sister is Dewstar. Brother is Hailflake. Father is Lionstripe. Niece is Rosepaw. Nephew is Splashpaw. Mentor is Gorsefeather.

Dustfur- dusty brown tom with blazing green eyes. Very old warrior, near elder. Muzzle is gray with age. Kits are Briarbush, Sweetleaf, and Creamheart. Grandkits are Dawnkit, Duskkit, and Spottedbranch. Former apprentices are Wolfstone and Badgerpelt.

Lionstripe- golden tom with bright orange stripes and sweet green eyes. Muzzle turning white with age. Father of Mintypaw, Dewstar, and Hailflake. Grandkits are Rosepaw and Splashpaw. Second oldest warrior. Former apprentices are Thornwhisker and Sweetleaf.

Thornwhisker- bulky gray tabby tom with green eyes. He has white paws and long limbs. Sister is Otterleaf. Younger brother is Oaksplash. Mate is Leafsplash. Apprentice is Splashpaw. Former apprentice is Dewstar.

Otterleaf- white she-cat with pale spots on her pelt. She has distinctive tabby markings on her face and odd solid brown paws, which are rather small. A small random cloud-shaped splotch of brown on her chest. Brothers are Thornwhisker and Oaksplash. Apprentice is Rosepaw. Former apprentice is Briarbush.

Sweetleaf- pretty pale coated warrior with deep amber eyes. Father is Dustfur. Sisters are Creamheart and Briarbush. Nieces are Spottedbranch and Dawnkit. Nephew is Duskkit. Foster nephew is Snowkit. Former apprentice is Raccontail.

Briarbush- pale cream she-cat with gray paws and ears. White muzzle and tail tip. Bright green eyes. Daughter is Spottedbranch. Sisters are Creamheart and Sweetleaf. Nieces is Dawnkit. Nephew is Duskkit. Foster nephew is Snowkit.

Hailflake- A dark gray tom with an unusual silver spotted pelt. He has a large build and bulky paws. Shiny blue eyes. Sisters are Mintypaw and Dewstar. Father is Lionstripe. Niece is Rosepaw. Nephew is Splashpaw.

Wolfstone- A solid dark gray tom with strong muscles. A scar covers one eye, making him half blind. His other eye is a solid blue. Mate is Creamheart. Son is Duskkit, daughter is Dawnkit. Foster son is Snowkit.

Silvertail- majoritarily white she-cat with green eyes and a dark silver tail. Brother is Badgerpelt. Father is Whiteclaw. Apprentice is Gingerpaw.

Badgerpelt- black-and-white lithe tom with sharp amber eyes. Three scars on right cheek from a fox. Sister is Silvertail. Father is Whiteclaw.

Spottedbranch- tawny colored tortiseshell she-cat with amber eyes, a thick pelt, and long limbs. She has white stomach/chest fur. Her right ear has a small nick in it. Mother is Briarbush. Aunts are Sweetleaf and Creamheart. Cousins are Dawnkit and Duskkit. Foster cousin is Snowkit.

Creamheart- Elegant full cream she-cat with stunning blue eyes and a feathery tail. Sisters are Briarbush and Sweetleaf. Daughter is Dawnkit. Son is Duskkit. Foster son is Snowkit. Mate is Wolfstone. Niece is Spottedbranch. Former apprentice is Silvertail.

Raccoontail- patchy furred gray she-cat with darker gray stripes on her tail like a raccoon. Amber eyes and heavily scarred pelt from battles. Kit is Amberkit.

Dawnkit- small pale cream she-cat with pale gray patches. Blue eyes and thick pelt. Mother is Creamheart, father is Wolfstone. Brother is Duskkit. Foster brother is Snowkit. Aunts are Briarbush and Sweetleaf. Cousin is Spottedbranch.

Duskkit- Big dusky gray tom-kit with big blue eyes. Has his father's shorter pelt and a random splotch of cream on his chest. Sister is Dawnkit. Foster brother is Snowkit. Mother is Creamheart, father is Wolfstone. Aunts are Briarbush and Sweetleaf. Cousin is Spottedbranch.

Amberkit- ginger-brown tabby she-kit with amber eyes. Has peach colored chest fur and white tipped tail and paws. Mother is Raccoontail.

Snowkit- Fluffy white orphaned kit with bright blue eyes. Foster mother is Creamheart, foster dad is Wolfstone. Foster sister is Dawnkit, foster brother is Duskkit. Foster aunts are Sweetleaf and Briarbush. Foster cousin is Spottedbranch. Uncle is Gorsefeather.

Gingerpaw- bright ginger tom with green eyes and golden tipped ears and paws. Has a fluffy nub tail. Mentor is Silvertail.

Rosepaw- pale rosy-peach she-cat with thick fur and pale ginger flecks. Lighter paws and head fluff. Big, pale blue eyes. Has a thick tail. Mother is Dewstar. Father is Oaksplash. Brother is Splashpaw. Uncle is Hailflake. Aunt is Mintypaw. Grandfather is Lionstripe. Has a crush on Gingerpaw. Mentor is Otterleaf.

Splashpaw- pale ginger tom with brown, gray, and black stripes and gray and white patches along his body. His left front leg tipped with black. Front right paw is white. Back right hind leg is white, back right leg is brown, back white paw is brown. Back left hind leg is brown, rest of that leg is pale ginger. Thick light brown stripe on back, two black stripes and two brown stripes coming off it. Tail starts off brown, then a stripe of gray, then pale ginger, then white, then pale ginger, then gray, then brown, and finally tipped off with gray. Brown left ear and mark above nose. White, gray, and singular brown tabby markings on face. Gray ring on forehead. Bright amber eyes and a long tail. Mother is Dewstar. Father is Oaksplash. Sister is Rosepaw. Aunt is Mintypaw. Uncle is Hailflake. Grandfather is Lionstripe. Mentor is Thornwhisker.

Ripplepaw- pale peach she-cat with one black ear. Full white back, back legs and paws, and tail. Purplish-blue eyes. Mentor is Dewstar.

Whiteclaw- skinny gray tom with white toes, tail tip, and splash on chest. Big pale gray ears and beady yellow eyes. Gray muzzle. Daughter is Silvertail. Son is Badgerpelt. Former apprentice is Otterleaf.

Cindertail- solid black tom with extremely fluffy tail. Three scars on his flank. Dark, almost black eyes. Oldest cat in RainClan. Former apprentices are Oaksplash and Leafsplash.

Leafsplash- she-cat who retired early. She's actually younger than Otterleaf by five moons. Thin white pelt splotched with brown. Once bright green eyes, she retired early due to loss of sight. Mate is Thornwhisker. Former apprentice is Gingerpaw.

prologue.

Fresh drops of dew slipped off leaves as flame colored paws rushed past. Small brown paws thumped the ground as a rabbit raced away from its pursuer. But the cat was too fast. Swiftly ending it in one bite, the cat looked up as it heard a voice.
"Nice catch, Foxstar."
The ginger tom turned to see a massive dark tabby padding over.
"Thank you, Maplestar. What brings you to this part of the stars?"
The brown tabby tom's eyes clouded as he continued. "There's a prophecy to be delivered, Foxstar. Dapplestar and Whitestar are waiting. Where is Olivestar?"
Surprise rippled through Foxstar. A prophecy? There hadn't been a prophecy since countless seasons ago. "A prophecy? Olivestar should be near the watching pools, watching over CloudClan. She only joined us two snow-drops ago, you know. I'll go fetch her."
"Thank you, Foxstar. We are meeting at Hollow Creek."

Foxstar nodded and sprinted away, running in the direction of the Watching Pools. Finally he spotted a familiar black coat. "Olivestar!" He called as he ran towards her. The she-cat turned around, resting her olive colored gaze on the russet tom. "Foxstar? Is everything alright?" She pondered, padding over to him.

"No time to-" he panted, "-explain. Prophecy. Follow me." With that, Foxstar took off again, Olivestar sprinting after him.

"Good, I see we're all present." A broad tom spoke.
"Yes, Dapplestar, now will you please explain?" The black she-cat replied.
"There is a prophecy. Five Clans have lived in peace, but darkness can consume the light. Five can tame the darkness. They will rise to save their home. In times of need, the youngest may just be the strongest."
"We must warn the Clans!" Foxstar yowled.
"We will." Agreed a pretty white she-cat by the name of Whitestar.
"But what does it mean?" Asked Maplestar.
"I'm afraid I do not know, friends." Replied Dapplestar gravely.
"No one blames you for that, Dapplestar. None of us know. I pray the Clans will figure it out." Mewed Olivestar.
"But how can the youngest be the strongest? Kits and apprentices are weak without training!" Spat Foxstar.
"And what is the 'darkness'?" Asked Whitestar.
"I only wish I knew." Replied a somber Dapplestar.
"The Clans have never faced a danger like this before, something awful will happen, I fear." Olivestar shook her head, olive eyes clouded in worry.
"Be strong, Olivestar," Dapplestar rested his tail tip on her shoulder in a gesture of comfort, "Whatever may happen, the Clans will survive. LegendClan will never abandon them."
