Morningpaw's Moonstone Journey

Another day, another moonstone journey.

Logleap sat dejectedly on his nest, blinking back his own drowsiness. Stars, his nest was so warm and the air was so cold.. surely these apprentices could wait a few more minutes. What was with this apprentice boom anyways? He supposed he had Lightningstar and Sageleaf to thank for his countless early mornings - though, today he was not traveling with one of their offspring. Logleap moved to gather some herbs, flinching as his bones creaked in protest. For Morningpaw, he convinced himself. Perhaps this tom would offer Logleap some relief from the constant stoic and overly confident persona of the rest of Thunderclan. But the chances were slim.

A sigh ruffled the pile of leaves before him. At least the sun had begun to rise. Some warmth would be a welcome change from the constant chill of leafbare. He grabbed the travel herbs, practically subconsciously, and moved towards the apprentice den. The same bundle of herbs were placed on the ground. Logleap cleared his throat.

"Morningpaw? Today's the day." he meowed. It was certainly a vague sentence - and though it held mostly dread for Logleap, perhaps Morningpaw would be joyful for such news.
