Peregrinekit's Apprentice Ceremony

Cloudbreeze swiftly took her place upon the High Rock, calling out to her Clan. "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath the High Rock for a clan meeting!"

Peregrinekit padded forward, his fur groomed so that he looked presentable instead of his usual tumbled mess. It was time for him to get his apprentice name and he knew it. His eyes gleamed with excitement, as he wondered who would be his mentor.

Cloudbreeze gave a nod to her nephew, once again looking to the clan. "Peregrinekit, you have reached the age of six moons and from this day forth shall be known as Peregrinepaw. Lightningstar will be your mentor." With that, she dismissed the clan, joining amongst them to celebrate the new apprentice.

Hearing his name called, the large leader padded towards his apprentice and dipped his head in the usual ceremonial way. "We train at dawn," Lightningstar mewed as he touched noses with the young tom.
