When you realize you have a crush on your friend (closed)

Hailpaw laid in his nest as the rain drizzled down. To some cats it would nice. A day off from duties or the sound of rain was simply relaxing. Other cats would complain of how wet their was or how muddy their paws were. For Hailpaw rain brought boredom. He wanted to be out in the forest, hunting, battle training, anything! But then rain came along. Rain came along and put him in the stuffy apprentices den where he had to lay while rain fell down outside.

"Ugggghhhhhh I'm bored!" Hailpaw complained. Why did rain have to come along and keep him from hunting and training.

"Awee," An amiable whisper wafted from behind Hailpaw, tinged with cordial warmth, "Well, maybe we can't go out to train... but what's stopping us from playing? What's stopping us from laughing?" With a sailing spring, she bounded forward to reveal herself, gently thwacking the tom with her poofy tail. Her maw twinkled, glee trailing along the corners of her lips. Brindlepaw's characteristic beam framed her face in distinctive youthfulness; her cheeks scrunched endearingly, wrinkling into joy-laced creases. With each trilling utter that bursted from her throat, she took a sly step backwards. The apprentice's wide-eyed gaze glimmered cheekily, smouldering them in embers of exuberance, "Muddy paws? A wet pelt?" Almost teasingly, her paws inched backwards with one final strut, until droplets enveloped her in a flurrying dance of rain. Moist gales buffeted her, unruly fur twisting like wisps. Brindlepaw sighed, contentment encasing her, as if melting into the hazy atmosphere. Against her better judgment, or for lack of one thereof... her eyes vivdly sparked with a challenge. In defiant encouragement to urge her friend to join her, she playfully poked her tongue out, rasping loudly. Laughter spurted in an explosion of snorts. Giggles shuddered her entirety, flying freely on the chilly gusts. Shivering in delighted exhileration, she fell into a lopsided play-bow, "C'mon, Hailpaw!"

Hailpaw turned around as he saw Brindlepaw run out of the nursery. "I won't let any rain ruin my spirits!" Hailpaw said, bounding out behind Brindlepaw. He ran over to the she-cat and gentle hit the top of her head. "Tag your it!" The white tom the ran off, knowing that she'll join.

"Catch me if you can!"
