Ferretpaw has been in the middle of camp when she had caught a view, out of the corner of her eye. At first, it was hard to recognize the frail cat that was sitting there, but her brain registered it with shock. ”Mom?” she gasped, bounding up to Sageleaf. The warrior had been confined to the medicine den, barely able to breath. Was she healing? Would she get better? Everyone had thought her time was almost up. But maybe not...

Flashpaw had been gathering some herbs, and was surprised to see the weakened form of her mother to greet her as she padded back towards the medicine clearing. Perhaps some of her efforts had not been in vain, if she were feeling well enough to move from the nest she had been occupying?

"Hello, Ferretpaw," Flashpaw greeted, blinking in welcome at her sister but hoping she wouldn't get too close. She didn't want sickness to spread through the whole camp. "Are you feeling better today, mother?" She asked, her voice gentle.

Though much had to be done around camp and with his warriors, Lightningstar made sure to take time everyday to spend with his mate, who had most unfortunately been ill as of late. Having grabbed the most plump mouse he could find from the freshkill pile, the large tom made his way over to the medicine cat den where he spotted two of his daughters, along with his mate occupying the space near the entrance of the den.

Slowing to a halt, Lightningstar dropped the piece of prey at Sageleaf's paws. Staying quiet, per usual, he gave Ferretpaw and Flashpaw a simple nod of his head before turning his gaze back to his mate, who looked as if she hadn't eaten or groomed herself in moons. Great StarClan, greencough really sucked the life out of her... but thankfully, she seemed to be getting better, thanks to Flashpaw's slow but steady healing against the sickness.
