Willowkit's Apprentice Ceremony

Leopardspot leaped onto the High Ledge, her heart hammering. This was the first ceremony she held as deputy. She had rehearsed these words for so many times, and now, it was time:
"Let all cats old enough to capture their own prey gather beneath the High Ledge for a clan meeting!"

Willowkit's big ears pricked up at the mention of a Clan gathering. They had no idea what it could be for, but sometimes kits got turned into apprentices during these, right? Half-hoping, they loped up to the High Ledge with wide eyes.

"Willowkit, you have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to become an apprentice." as she spoke out she felt gradually relieved of the initial nervousness, "From this day on until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Willowpaw. Hailstorm shall be your mentor. May he teach you everything he knows." After finishing, she descended to the crowd to congratulate the two cats.

Willowpaw's jaw dropped to the floor. Them? An apprentice? Their heart skipped a beat as they hastily bumped noses with their new mentor. They had a mentor now. They couldn't wait to start their training.

The white tom lifted his head when he heard his name. Willowpaw. The white warrior padded over to his new apprentice and touched noses with them "We'll begin training soon." He said, a smile on his snow white face.
