The Flower beneath the Birch

Flowerpaw opened her eyes and yawned. Mmm, that was the best sleep I've had in a while, and thought as she stood and stretched. The calico female stepped out into the center the camp and began to groom her long coat. What should she do today? It was too cold to do much and the river had frozen over. "Ugh, I'm bored!" Flowerpaw complained loudly.

birchkit was in the medicine den getting his weekly checkup when he heard an apprentice say she was bored. He was still a kit and kits were supposed to love playing so he decided to go for it. Birchkit nodded bye to Adderfeather before padding towards the apprentice. "Hello bored apprentice." he mewed with a smile. He was now really good at fake smiling that others really did think he was his old happy self again, they were so far from the truth.
