The Evening Blaze (closed)

Eveningpaw laid in his nest bored. Nightpaw had gone hunting, his mother was probably out on patrol, and Ferretfang was probably busy doing warrior duties. Getting up out of his nest the large tom stretched and left the apprentices den. Seeing Blazepaw outsdie he had a brilliant idea. What if Blazepaw wanted to spar? Padding over the the older tom Eveningpaw waved his tail in greeting. “Hey Blazepaw! Do you want to go to the Sandy Hollow and spar?” The tom meowed expecting a nod or the shake of Blazepaw’s head, he knew Blazepaw didn’t talk to others he’d much rather keep to himself. Eveningpaw didn’t mind that but it would be nice to get some verbal answers from the tom.

Blazepaw was sitting outside enjoying the nice quiet camp when all of a sudden, eveningpaw came towards him. Now of course, Blazepaw liked nightpaw better but eveningpaw was still counted as a friend, sorta. As eveningpaw asked to spar, Blazepaw thought it would be a good idea. Maybe if he win a fight, eveningpaw would stop being so annoying around him. Blazepaw gave a slight nod and got to his paws, padding towards the entrance to go to the Sandy hallow.

Eveningpaw followe Blazepaw and once they were ready and in position the tom meowed. “You ready?” And with a nod from Blazepaw Eveningpaw ran forward and leaped at Blazepaw and smacked him across the face with a sheathed paw. Of course when sparing he didn’t think they should use claws unless they absolutely had to. Oh how wrong he would be in a few moments.

Eveningpaw hissed in surprise. They were supposed to be sparring not actually fighting! Eveningpaw pinned his ears back against his head getting mad before lunging forward and using his large size to his advantage pinning Blazepaw to the floor.

As blazepaw's white pelt stained red and he was exhausted, he deiced it was time to call it quites. "You win." he mewed not even caring that he was speaking, he knew if he got any more injuries, he would probably pass out from exhaustion.


Eveningpaw won the fight

Eveningpaw's breathing was a little more labored as they stopped, his silver and white pelt stained red. "We should probably go see the medicine cat now." He meowed offering for Blazepaw to lean on him while they headed back to camp.

Blazepaw leaned on eveningpaw as they went back to camp.
