Valeriankit's Apprentice Ceremony

Pride shimmered in the she-cat's walk as the sun was setting down on the camp. It was time to end the day with something prideful, and she wasn't going to let it go to waste. Cloudbreeze's frame easily found its perch upon the High Rock, and she called out to her Clan.

"Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath the High Rock for a clan meeting!"

Making his way to the front of the growing crowd, Valeriankit sat down and neatly placed his bushy tail over his paws and turned his gaze up to his sister who say upon Highrock. Today, he would become an apprentice, which he found to simply be yet another stage of life, and promised that he would do his father and clan proud.

Cloudbreeze smiled as she saw her sibling. "Valeriankit, you have reached the age of six moons old. It is time for you to become an apprentice. From this day forth until you receive your warrior name, you shall be known as Valerianpaw. I will be your mentor." It was a thought she had rolled over for quite some time - but she had a particular eye for the young sibling.

Ears perking when Cloudbreeze spoke the ceremonial words and then announced herself as his mentor, the newly named Valerianpaw stood up and his older sister approached. Dipping his head respectfully, the two of them touched noses. "I look forward to training with you, deputy," the young, fluffy tom mewed, his expression stoic and his voice calm, per usual.
