Ferretkit's Apprentice Ceremony

Jumping up to the top of High Rock, Lightningstar stood at the edge of the stone, his long fur catching a breeze as it blew by. "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gathering beneath High Rock for a clan meeting!" the large leader yowled over the buzzing clan bellow. With Cloudbreeze being sick, today, he would be the one to give one of ThunderClan's kits and his daughter, Ferretkit, her apprentice name. His clan grew stronger with each passing sunrise and he couldn't have been more proud of every-cat, though of course, he wasn't one to show such approval to any-cat.

Ferretkit ran out of the nursery. Cloudbreeze was sick, so Lightningstar was holding the ceremony. She gazed up at her father. Finally, she would be an apprentice! She wondered who would be her mentor. Maybe it would even be her own kin!

Looking down to his daughter, Lightningstar continued. Ferretkit, please step forward. You have reached the age of six moons, and thus, it is time you become an apprentice. Until you receive your warrior name, you shall be known as Ferretpaw. Sageleaf will be your mentor," he finished with a nod.

Stepping forwards, Ferretpaw grinned. ”Cool!” she ran over to touch noses with her mother, now her mentor. She was so excited to finally be an apprentice!
