Fearless can mean Foolish [Closed]

Ferretkit wanted to prove how she was ready to be an apprentice. And she had seen apprentices hunt before, so she decided to catch some prey so that Cloudbreeze would make her an apprentice, finally. She got up and snuck out of camp, giggling. Sageleaf was asleep and Lightningstar was busy, so nobody noticed a thin gray cat entering the woods. As she wandered around, looking for prey, she saw a flash of ginger fur. At first, she thought it was just a cat, so she stepped towards it curiously. But looking into it’s face, she saw it wasn’t a cat but a fox. She smiled. Maybe she could fight the fox like a real warrior. She let out a little growl, and the fox quickly started to draw nearer. She got a little scared. Hadn’t Sageleaf told her that predators could kill kits. And she wasn’t as big as an apprentice. Starting to get scared even more, she let out a desperate cry for help. She didn’t want to join the ranks of StarClan, she was just a kit! ”Help!” she mewed as the fox started to get closer.

Badgerpaw noticed his little sister leave camp without someone and got really worried. He silently followed after her when he noticed the scent of Fox. When he heard her cry for help he quickly ran and launched himself at the Fox before it could attack ferretkit. He slashed at the foxes side trying to distract it away from his sister.


The Fox growled at the cat that made it so he didn’t have an easy meal.

Ferretkit’s eyes widened as Badgerpaw attacked the fox. She was so grateful that he had come to rescue her. ”Badgerpaw!” she exclaimed happily. Feeling more confidence return, she stood next to him. ”I can help! I’m almost as strong as you are!” she said confidently, ready to attack the fox by her brother.

Badgerpaw hissed at his sister. “No! Stay away!” he mewed before biting down on the Fox.

The Fox shook his pelt and slashed at Badgerpaw hitting the Tom in his side.

Ferretkit watched, wide eyed. Badgerpaw fought like a real warrior. He was strong and brave and she knew that he deserved to have a ceremony. She felt ashamed for putting him in danger from the fox.

As the fox ran away, Ferretkit emerged. ”Wow! That was cool!” she grinned at Badgerpaw. ”We were both pretty brave, right?”

He looked at her and padded forward, wincing in pain, and picked her up by her scruff. He padded back to camp and set her down. “You could have seriously been injured, never leave alone again.” he said before going to the medicine cat den to get healed.

Ferretkit looked down. ”Ok, sorry Badgerpaw.” she looked at up at him sadly. She hurried back to the nursery, sighing. She would never do that again. But at least she had a cool story!
