oh theres children (open)

Oakleap was resting in the Nursery when she felt a pain. She was kitting! "Logleap, F-flashpaw! My kits are coming!" Said Oakleap. Luckily not many cats weren't in camp so Oakleap wasn't causing too much of a disturbance.

BadgerStorm was waiting outside the nursery like everyday when he heard his mate calling. He quickly ran to his sister. “Flashpaw.. *pant*... the kits!” he mewed scared, excitement, and worried all showing on his face.

Flashpaw immediately grabbed some borage, burnet, and chervil. She shoved some of the herbs at Badgerstorm to carry, and headed for the nursery.
"I'm here, it's going to be just fine, Oakleap," she purred to reassure her brother's mate. She had never assisted with a kitting before, but it was a natural process and she wasn't worried. She started chewing the chervil, dripping the juice onto the burnet leaves. "These will support you in having strength through the labor." she explained.

Oakleap nodded before another pain hit her. The lapped up the herbs, chewing them, before another pain came.

BadgerStorm paced outside the nursery as his sister helped Oakleap deliver the kits.

The ripples in Oakleap's side as she had contractions seemed to be coming fairly close together. Flashpaw pushed the borage off to the side - it would be best after the labor was finished. She didn't want Oakleap to possibly vomit it back up, as it would help her milk to come in strong.

"You're doing great, Oakleap. The pains are going to come closer and closer together. If you need to bite on this stick, that could help," Flashpaw pushed a sturdy looking stick closer to the laboring queen, "But soon you should have your first kit here!"

Oakleap felt another pain and bit down on the stick. More and more pain came. Then there was no pain. Relief washed over Oakleap. She looked towards her first kit. So tiny and helpless. Oakleap wanted to be closer to her kit. But just as she strectched her paw out another pain came.

Firekit mewed as she crawled towards the milk. She drank the delicious milk as her siblings were also born.


BadgerStorm heard mews and even though he wanted to go in he still waited for his sister to give him the okay.

Flashpaw let out a delighted trill as she saw her first little niece. A red tabby with white.

"Congratulations, Oakleap. You have a beautiful little she-cat. Would you like Badgerstorm to join us or wait until you've had them all?"

"I'll wait until I've had them al-" The sentence was cut off from another ripple of pain.

Flashpaw nodded in understanding. "Remember your stick, and just listen to your body." Thankfully the herbs would give Oakleap enough strength if the birth were to be a long one.

Oakleap gave a brisk nod before another wave of pain came over. It was long and then relief. Another kit had been born. Two beautiful kits- Wait there another one. Thought Oakleap as she was overcome by pain.

(OOC: Daisy has just called me over ^^ Sorry for the short post, not sure what to RP with a newborn kit :P)

Stormkit crawled blindly on the nursery ground. He let out a loud mew as he was anxious to find the milk.

This next kit was a tom. Flashpaw purred, letting him attempt to find his way to his mother's belly by himself for a moment, before stepping in to nose her nephew in the right direction. There was something to be said about nature and the strength that was found in the journey to the belly, but there was no shame in getting help in life, either, and Flashpaw saw no reason to deny help to the newest of lives.

"A little tom, Oakleap!" She announced.

Oakleap smiled. Two kits. And a third one coming soon. More pain over came Oakleap. Then the final kit came out. Oakleap braced for more but none came. She and Badgerstorm had three little kits. "Badgerstorm come in! Your kits are here!" Said Oakleap cheerfully. Even though she was tired her voice sounded of so much energy.

Fire pushed her siblings out of her way as they got to close to her.

BadgerStorm padded into the nursery to see three little kits and Oakleap. “They are beautiful.” he mewed licking each kit.

"What shall we name them?" She asked.

Peregrinekit shivered as his father's tongue roughed his fur and then moved on to the next kit. The little brown tabby wiggled his way to his mother's still rounded stomach, and latched on. The sweet taste of her colostrum filled his mouth, and he began to purr and knead to get more.

Flashpaw stepped away for a moment to get the borage leaves and give them to Oakleap. "This will encourage your milk production. Now this next part may be a bit uncomfortable, but I need to make sure that your womb contracts back down." Flashpaw began to knead on Oakleap's belly, careful not to dislodge any of the suckling kits.

BadgerStorm looked down at the kits and smiled. “The orange red kit can be named Firekit, the grey kit that looks almost like my father can be stormkit, and what do you think the last kit should be?” he asked after licking the kits.


Firekit didn’t like to share her milk but knew she wouldn’t be able to get away from her siblings. She mewed as her brothers got to close. She knew her mother would come to her rescue as she was the only she-kit in the litter so even though she was youngest she was also weakest, at the moment.

(Weak elemental cat soon becomes strong lol good story :3)

Oakleap looked down at her kits as Badgerstorm gave the names. "Those sound wonderful! And for this little tom, his name shall be Peregrinekit." Said Oakleap. Two toms and a she-cat. Oakleap already knew that they would get into trouble easily.

Oakleap turned her gaze towards Flashpaw. She lapped up the herbs while she let the she-cat knead her belly. Of course while uncomfortable it wasn't as painful as kitting.

Ferretpaw ran into the r surely, ready to see her niece and nephew. She gazed at the kits. The are all adorable, one of them red and orange, another one that looked like her father, and another little tom. She gazed at her brother, then his mate, smiling. ”Hello!” mewed the grey she-cat, to the kits.

Stormkit finally managed to reach the milk with help from Flashpaw. He squeezed himself between his siblings and eagerly started drinking. His tiny paws kneaded Oakleap's belly.
