Rainkit's Apprentice Ceremony

"Let all cats old enough to capture their own prey gather underneath Highrock for a clan meeting!" Sorrelwing yowled.

Rainkit cowered behind BreezeBranch as the clan gathered under the rock. The young Tom didn’t like being so close to so many cats so as he hid behind BreezeBranch he made sure no one could see him except for sorrelwing.

"Rainkit, now that you have reached the age of six moons, it is time you become an apprentice. From now until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Rainpaw. Your mentor will be Breezebranch. May she teach you everything she knows." With that, Sorrelwing leaped down from the rock to continue her duties.

Rainpaw smiled up at BreezeBranch before hiding as everyone called his name.

Breezebranch smiled down at the young tom hiding within her-- oh, so much like Icepaw-- and gently touched noses to the newly proclaimed Rainpaw. "Rainpaw! Rainpaw!"
