To Talk or not, that is the question (Closed)

Blazepaw sat outside the apprentice den, grooming his small fur. Even though he didnt have the thick fur most thunderclan cats had, he did have white fur, so it got dirty easily. He didnt have anyone to glare at as everyone in camp was too busy to even notice him. Blazepaw knew others wanted him to have friends but blazepaw was fine being alone, he liked it that way.

Nightpaw lay in his nest before opening his eyes and stretching and giving his pelt a quick groom. The black fluffy tom padded out of the apprentices den noticing Blazepaw. “Hey Blazepaw.” He purred sitting next to the white Tom.

Blazepaw nodded in getting seeing the one cat who liked silence a much as he did. Nightpaw was one of the few cats that never forced him to talk. They became friends cause Blazepaw understood the feeling of hating outgoing cats and nightpaw understood that Blazepaw would talk when he felt like it. As Blazepaw finished up the last kicks on his fur he loomed to nightpaw, wondering what they should do on the nice day.

Nightpaw purred thinking what to do today. “Do you want to go hunting.” He meowed to the older Tom. He knew Blazepaw would answer him or not he didn’t push it.

Blazepaw thought about it before nodding. He could use some hunting practice, maybe that would show his mentor he didnt have to talk, to hunt. Blazepaw got to his paws and looked up at nightpaw before padding towards the entrance, ready to hunt. This was actually the first time blazepaw went hunting with someone who wasnt his mentor.

Nightpaw smiled before following Blazepaw out of camp. As they padded through the forest together the tom sniffed the air scenting a few prey nearby. “Theres a few prey around do you want to split up to cover more ground and then meet back here?” He meowed gulping they could hunt and then just sit in silence in the forest together and maybe even share some prey before they head back to camp.

Blazepaw nodded before padding off to find a creature. He caught the scent of a mouse so he got into the hunting crouch and stalked towards the mouse. He pounced on the mouse killing it in one bite.

Nightpaw padded off in the opposite direction. Sniffing the air he caught wind of a rat, he quickly crouched into a hunting position and stalked his prey. He stiffened getting ready to pounce. Once in position the tom tom sprang forward and caught a plump rat. He smiled before digging a hole in the base of a tree amongst some upturned roots and stashing the rat there before going off to catch more prey.

Blazepaw buried his mouse to get later then padded deeper into the forest. After a couple steps he heard the rustling of a bush and caught the scent on a shrew. He stalked towards the unsuspecting creature and with one mighty pounce he killed it and buried it under some leaves.

Nightpaw caught scent of more prey and then heard paw steps. Getting into a crouch the tom looked around before he spotted a rabbit. Creeping forward the tom pounced and grabbed caught the rabbit quickly killing it. He brought it back to his hole and dug a bit deeper before covering it back up and going off to hunt more prey.

Blazepaw heard the sound of slapping and looked up to see a bird. The bird landed a few tail lengths away so blazepaw decided this would be his last prey. Blazepaw stalked towards the bird, making sure he wasnt making any sounds before pouncing. He landed directly on the winged creature before ending it with one bite. Blazepaw picked up his bird and then went around collecting the others before going to find nightpaw.

Nightpaw heard some rustling in the trees before a squirrel ran down a nearby trunk to eat some nuts. Nightpaw crouched and silently creeped forward before getting ready to pounce. When the squirrel came a little bit closer he tensed his muscles and leapt off the ground with a powerful leap. The large tom landed on the squirrel and quickly killed it before taking it back to the rest of the prey. When he was done covering it up Blazepaw showed up. “All done?” He meowed to the tom.

Blazepaw nodded at his friend and set his prey down. He didn't know if nightpaw was done so he sat down and waited to see what would happen.

Nightpaw dug up his prey dusting off the dirt with his tail and paws. “Me too. Shall we take it back to camp?” He meowed grabbing his prey and turning towards Blazepaw.

Blazepaw nodded and picked his prey back up. As they quietly walked back to camp, Blazepaw wondered what else they would do. The sun was still high in the sky so there was still time left for one more activity.

As they walked back to camp to drop the prey off Nightpaw enjoyed the silence of the forest, he was sure Blazepaw was too. “After dropping the prey off you want to just enjoy the forest?” He meowed looking at Blazepaw.

Blazepaw thought about it before nodding, he would love to just have a peaceful outing without the loudness of camp. Don't get him wrong, he loved his clan, but they could be very obnoxious. As the toms entered camp, Blazepaw padded towards the prey pile to drop the hunt off.

Nightpaw followed Blazepaw and dumped his prey on the kill pile. “I know lots of good spots to enjoy the forest.” He meowed flicking his tail for Blazepaw to follow him. He lead him to a secluded part of the forest that other cats rarely go to, but Nightpaw often came here to think. “I like to come here to think, and also get away from my excitable brother.” He chuckled sitting down and wrapping tail around his paws.

Blazepaw looked around and even though it was very rare, he smiled. He watched nightpaw sit down but as he couldn't wrap his tail around his own paws he just laid down to listen to the forest. "This place is perfect, I wish I had my own place to relax." he thought not realizing he said it outloud.
