Oakkit's Apprentice Ceremony

Cloudbreeze had came into camp after just going on a patrol, energy coursing through her veins as she took a swift leap up onto the high rock. As the few had before her, her strong voice carried across the camp.

"Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath the High Rock for a clan meeting!"

Oakkit ran forward. It was her apprentice ceramony. She was going to join Badgerpaw in the apprentices den.

A warm purr radiated from the she-cat as she looked down at the next apprentice to move in. "Oakkit, as is tradition, you have reached the age of six moons old. From this point forth, until you gain your warrior name, you shall be called Oakpaw. Nightstalker will be your mentor, I have faith she will teach you well."

Nightstalker jumped a little as she heard her name and she turned her ember gaze up to her sister who stood addressing the Clan, narrowing her eyes slightly at her kin. Was she trying to punish her? This would be Nightstalker's first apprentice, but she felt better suited for babysitting her younger siblings, not training someone. She glanced at Oakpaw and watched as the eager she-cat seemed ready to burst out of her pelt with excitement. She couldn't fault the young cat for being excited, but she shot her sibling another disapproving look before she padded forward to greet her new apprentice. "I suppose this will be interesting," She mewed as she touched her nose lightly to Oakpaw's. "I guess this means it's time to show you around"

Oakkit now Oakpaw ran to touch noses with Nightstalker. "I promise I'll be the best apprentice in the forest!" Sqeuaked Oakpaw. Her tail waved back and forth. Soon training will begin. Oakpaw couldn't wait.
