Mosskit's Apprentice Ceremony

It was finally time for another kit to be apprenticed. There had been a gap in the recent apprenticeships as many cats feared for their safety with the rogues. While the deputy understood, she also knew that there was indeed a kit today to rise the ranks. "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath the High Rock for a clan meeting!"

Mosskit walked confidently out of the nursery, her eyes sparking with excitement. She was going to be an apprentice! She hoped her mentor would be patient with her, she had so many questions already. Visions of patrolling the territory and catching her first prey filled her head as she sat with her tail wrapped neatly around her paws.
Her normally fluffy coat was as smooth as she could get it, with only a few tufts on her shoulders sticking out.

Seeing the enthusiastic kit in question, Cloudbreeze smiled warmly. "Mosskit, you have reached the age of six moons and it is now time for you to become an apprentice. Until you receive your warrior name, you shall be known as Mosspaw. I trust Bigfoot to be your mentor and teach you everything you need to know." The words rolled off her tongue mindlessly and seamlessly, her gaze pointing to her own apprentice who had just finished training.

Having just become a warrior, the large tom was surprised have been assigned an apprentice so soon, but he wasn't about to complain. Padding forward with his abnormally large paws thumping against the earth bellow, he slowed to a stop in front of the younger she-cat. "Glad to be ya mentor!" he mewed with a wide grin on his maw.
