| Oddpaw trailed through the sedges that took sprout in ShadowClans territory. She felt slightly nervous to be hunting alone after the owl attack she had endured with Scorchpaw. She would brave through it nonetheless, the clan needed fresh-kill. She was downwind so any prey nearby wouldn't smell her.
She heard a faint rustling from a small patch of grass in front of her. |

| A small garter snake slid out from the grass, Oddpaw leapt at it. Unfortunately she misjudged the distance and went sailing over the snake and landed on her face. She scrabbled up quickly to try and re-catch the prey, regrettably the loud noise she'd made had frightened the snake and it had quickly departed.
She glared around her, angrily flicking her tail before calming down and getting back into a hunters crouch. There she sat, waiting for the prey to come back, after scaring them off with her loud thumping. |

| The faint pitter-patter of shrew feet, she crept up..
Closer... clooooser...
Then she struck, she chased down the shrew and pounced. Landing awkwardly, instead of killing it gracefully, she accidentally bit off the shrews' head. She shrugged 'Not a pretty kill, but I'll take it' Oddpaw thought to herself. She buried the shrew and it's head beside a fallen tree.
Leaping atop of the tree Oddpaw opened her mouth to get a good whiff for any prey near. Oddpaw had lucked out, she could scent a tantalisingly tasty piece of prey hiding out near a tree. She moved so she was downwind and slunk nearer. |

| She could scent a rat. She jumped atop of it and bit down hard, swiftly taking it's life. The rat was extremely skinny but that was to be expected with leafbare holding the forest in its frosty grip. She scarped a patch of icy shards over her kill. "Atleast it'll keep cool" she said to nobody in particular.
Once again she was on all fours, searching for more food. 'I'll get one more piece of fresh kill and then head back to camp. I wonder what the others have caught?'.
She could hear something scrabbling in the bushes beside her, without thinking or scenting she immediately launched at it. |

| She landed onto a huge toad, she cringed internally as she felt it's slime over her paws. She made swift work of it before it got away.
Oddpaw HATED toads. She didn't even want to lick her paws clean of the toads slime. Atleast this toad was huge, enough to feed nearly two warriors!
She walked back through the forest, uncovering and picking up her prey until her jaw ached. She strolled back to camp, her head lowered from the weight, happy but tired. |
