Icekit's Apprentice Ceremony

A heavy sigh left the deputy's lips as she once again jumped onto highrock. She was getting tired. "Let all cats old enough to capture their own prey gather underneath Highrock for a clan meeting!"

Breezebranch purred as she awoke Icekit. "Ice, dear, wake up! Today's very important!" She whisper-purred, licking him awake.

Icekit woke to Breezebranch's gentle licks. He eventually sat up before remembering what today was. His apprentice ceremony! With an excited look, he bounced from the nursery and over to the Highrock.

"Today we gather to make this kit an apprentice. Icekit, please step forward." Sorrelwing called.

Heart pounding in his chest, Icekit took a few steps closer. He looked up at Sorrelwing with excitement.

Breezebranch watched the ceremony with loving eyes as she gazed at Icekit.

She glanced at the kit in question. "You have reached the age if six moons and must start your training. From now until your receive your warrior name, you will be known as Icepaw. Your mentor will be me!" She hopped down quickly and touched noses with her apprentice. "You better be ready to start first thing at sunrise."
